God Will Help You, Just Stay With It

In today’s world, the only way a man can pastor a church is to be truly called of God to pastor. There is NO WAY a mere man could ever do it. Brains, smarts, intellect, education or personal ability may help a little in some ways, but nothing compensates for the call of God. The constant complexities that we deal with in people’s life’s today cannot be solved by carnal reasoning. Only thru God’s wisdom and help can it be done.
And even with the great help of God, there’ll still be those moments you will question yourself as a pastor and wonder if maybe you could have done something a little different. There is no such thing as a master pastor. Every decision or judgement call may not always be a home run. Even though it was made with all sincerity and prayer. Every reaction may not always be the best. But when it’s all said and done, a true God called pastor does his best to follow the great Shepherd and do what is best to lead God’s people. God’s grace is truly sufficient to help us.
I believe if a man walks humbly before God, and is prayerful and sincere, God will always help him to help others. One of my favorite verses is in Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:”
Being reasonable is a good thing for both pastor and saint of God. It is described in James 3:17 as “easy to be intreated.” Easy to work with. Easy to deal with. Not complicated. Patient. Not difficult. But workable. Teachable. Reasonable. Approachable. Lovable. Forgivable. Long suffering.
